The Big 550, AM KTRS says goodbye to a couple of DJs just in time to let them have a crappy Christmas. According to an article by Deb Peterson in Friday's St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the station is only letting go of the following radio personalities:
Bill Wilkerson, Wendy Wiese, Randy Karraker, McGraw Milhaven, Kevin Horrigan, Jim Holder, Scott St. James and Meme Wolff.
Waiting for the other shoe to drop (and likely polishing up his resumè) is station DJ John Craddock, A.K.A. Frank O. Pinion, as well as sports reporter John Hadley.
It seems the station has recruited some out-of-work shock jocks from around the country to relocate to St. Louis for the newly open positions in order to create an edgier format starting in January. Rumour has it that the new edgier line-up will include Keith Kramer who was fired from a Dallas radio gig in 2001 for "reporting" that Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake had died in a car wreck.
Good luck with that, St. Louis.
