DJ Moves: Bandyke, BEN

According to Roger Lelievre writing for The Ann Arbor News / MLIVE.com, Martin Bandyke, a 22 year NPR veteran of WDET in Detroit, is the new morning drive guy at 107.1 FM WQKL in Ann Arbor (starting next Monday.)

adam reyCongrats to Martin on his new gig, but I haven't heard the fate of current 107.1 morning-man young-Adam-Rey (pictured)? As of this posting, poor Adam is still touted as the morning host on Ann Arbor's 107 one.

Like so many JACK FM stations popping up all over the country, Philadelphia's BEN FM plays crap all day without any DJs. Why "Ben" instead of "Jack"? Probably just a smart move on the part of 95.7 BEN FM. They must actually use an iPod or CD changer instead of inking a deal with the JACK-FM company for essentially the same DJ-free service, forcing them to choose a different name. Well, BEN is no longer DJ-less... According to Philly.com, Matthew LA Reid and Cheryl Ann Kennedy are now doing a morning show on the station. Reid was on Philly's Y100 WPLY in the 1990's.
