LMAO, this morning I was flipping stations, got to 107.9 and nothing, dead air... then I heard some chit chat between Darren and Coba about a dead guy... then Coba came on the air and told a story about a guy dying and being cremated, mixed with fish food yadda yadda... then it goes back to dead air... and there is big mouth Darren saying Sh*t and dropping an F bomb about when he is dead.

I turned on 107.9 yesterday on my way through Colorado Springs (I grew up in Pueblo) and the chick on there (later learned it was Coba) was just going on and on about something about television shows, just to introduce a song. I have never heard such a terrible "morning show". Just turn on the music and the ads and be done with it! Take the no personality losers off of the air.

I used to listen to 99.9 on my drive in and then at work all day. It was ok, nothing great. Now I listen to podcasts from a station in Los Angeles that has talkers who used to be huge in Denver many moons ago, but moved to a bigger better market. Colorado radio is quite boring.

"Darren and Coba" can go back to where they came from. Clear Channel definitely made a big mistake by changing the format of KDZA, and running the darren and coba morning show (...so boring!).

It is clear that Clear Channel did not understand the audience of KDZA. This was the station, the residents of the Pueblo area grew up with, and the oldies format is what made it unique.

I've been listening to Johnjay and Rich for four years now, even though I live in Colorado. I started with the podcasts and then went to listening live on the net when I could. I'm THRILLED that they're in Colorado finally. I know they take some getting used to, but there are times I laugh out loud and I've gotten quite attached. Give them a chance ... I think the Springs will love them, too.

I suspect there will be many more changes to follow on 99.9, there are bugs to work out with the new show, at least Johnjay has personality. I never heard that Darren or Coba were professional DJ's? I don't know much about them because I always changed the station when they started yammering. I can't remember where, but back when they first took over, I read Coba went to college for theater

I hate the new morning show. It isn't a show that involves music at all but rather. Every time they attempt to broadcast the time, it is a joke. They apologize, explaining why they (can't call them DJs as they admit they are not professional DJs) can't get the time right or even know a thing about Colo Springs, nor do they care to know.

99.9 still plays music? I've tried to give the new shows a try but I can't get through all the yammering. I've always switched between radio stations on the way to work for music since I get to listen to plenty of talk at work but I find myself listening to NPR more and more.
